Welcome to Peggy's 5K Page
On April 13th, I’m participating in VIA’s Run for Autism 5k in honor of VIA's amazing staff.
The folks you see in this video are a few of the over 130 staff who work directly with children, young adults, and families struggling with the challenges of autism every day. They are yelled at, scratched, kicked, bit, hit, have hair pulled many, many days. But they are also hugged, high-fived, played with, and serenaded. They have the hardest job, and the most rewarding job.
I am participating because of their commitment to giving children the best possible start in life, to helping families create safety plans and strategies, to helping children, suceed in school, and to helping adults foster a sense of belonging in our community. The staff at VIA are some of the most highly trained in the state, and it is they who make our programs work.
I am so proud to work along side them, and try every day, to make VIA the best place for children, young adults, families, and staff.
The staff at VIA are incredible, and I'm incredibly proud of this organization for whom I'm working. I hope you'll join me in supporting it by making a generous donation to the Run for Autism 5K.
