On April 13th, We are participating in VIA’s Run for Autism 5k.
Please help us reach our fundraising goal with a donation to the Virginia Institute of Autism.
Afton was diagnosed with Autism at just under 2 years old. He was non-verbal until nearly 4 years old, using only sign language to communicate. He started attending VIA when he was 3 years old.
The Virginia Institute of Autism has been life changing for our family.
Afton attends VIA outpatient services 4 days a week for 2 hours a day, after his normal school day.
The services Afton receives at VIA are amazing!
Through lots of hard work Afton has made so much progress over the last 4+ years at VIA, and is transforming before our eyes into a chatty and engaged little man.
VIA has not only helped Afton learn to communicate and interact with the people and the world around him, but they have also helped our family understand and support Afton while at home and at school through parent training and sibling involvement.
By participating in the Run for Autism, YOU are a part of that mission. You help us make this event successful year after year.
Please join us by making a donation to team Afton today.
What is VIA?
VIA’s services help people with autism improve their communication and social skills, and participate more fully in their communities. As the number of people living with autism continues to rise, these services become more and more important.
Your gift will give hope to children and adults with autism and their families. By donating you are helping individuals, families (just like ours!), and communities affected by autism.
Thank you so very much for your support! Go Team Afton!!!!!
